The two original works in Italian, combined in the present edition in English, are extended versions of: Compendio della storia geografica, naturale e civile del regno del Chile. Bologna, 1776 (published anonymously)

Text in English; diagnoses of taxa of animals, plants and minerals in Latin

Volume I. includes: "A methodical table of the various species of natural productions described in this work, arranged in the manner of Linnæus." (p. [239]-248). -- "A supplement to the table of the vegetable kingdom, containing several species not included therein, and described and mentioned in this work." (p.
